Webinars have proven to be one of the most powerful channels for generating high-quality leads. They require a significant amount of prep work to do them successfully – and once they are done, it is relatively easy to repurpose them into additional content that can be used to market your business.

Prospects are always looking for valuable information to help them in their jobs – and they may not always be available for day-of-event attendance. Re-purposing this content can help further the marketing mission in several ways.

Nine ways that your webinars can be re-purposed into additional content include:

  1. On-Demand Recording. This might be obvious, but not all companies make their recordings available for on-demand viewing. Posting this content to your website or YouTube channel are just one way to publish this content. But, also consider doing some marketing around this on-demand content to generate additional interest and to keep the momentum going. Consider bundling the recording with other content to draw more eyes to the recording.
  2. Event Transcript. Once you have your event recording, using a transcription service like Otter or Rev can convert the video or audio file to text. This transcript provides a scannable alternative to a lengthy visual presentation – and these transcripts also provide accessibility for the hearing impaired.
  3. Blog Posts. Every webinar should have key takeaways for the participant. This content provides a great outline for building out blog posts that feature these takeaways and expands upon the original idea that was presented. These same takeaways can also be sent as a reminder to registrants that did not attend as to “what they missed”.
  4. Micro Recordings. Chopping the webinar recording into smaller micro-presentations that are 2-3 minutes each will provide information to audiences that have shorter attention spans. These smaller clips can be used on your website, in social media posts and in your newsletter.
  5. Post the Deck to SlideShare. Presenters often have elaborate decks which can be built into online slideshows. This allows readers to consume this content at their own pace. Individual slides may also be helpful if they contain content that makes a point without requiring the context of the entire webinar. They can be used as content for marketing campaigns and also make good posts for social media channels.
  6. Produce an eBook. Once you have the webinar transcribed, the content can then be used to produce an eBook or whitepaper that dives deeper into the subject. Multiple webinars could also be bundled together for an in-depth look at a particular topic.
  7. Infographics. Key takeaways and statistics that are presented during the webinar can be repurposed into infographics which can be easily digested by prospects.
  8. Use Questions from Webinar as FAQ Content. Most webinars include a live question and answer period for the listener to interact with the presenters. The information presented can be turned into FAQ content including fact sheets, blog posts, and information for newsletters.
  9. Turn Quotes and Statistics into Social Posts. Your readers are looking for content which is inspirational, informative, hopeful and entertaining. Quote posts are an effective content strategy to be used in your social strategy.

Don’t let your webinars become a one-time event. The hard work you put into it can continue to pay off long after the actual event. Repurposing the content can help save time and resources as well as boost your other marketing efforts.
